Sandbridge Redfish ?

Hi,

from NJ and have been down last 2 years in Aug for vacation on the beach in Sandbridge.

Been having fun with mostly small blues and few span macs.

This past Aug on the 1st morning, after a 1 hour blitz of 1-2 pound cocktails..a nicer fish hit my Ava007 right in the wash at the 1st dropoff.

It turned out to be a nice keeper sized Redfish.

what a meal it made on the grill that day..

Is my catch rare for this area ??  or are there alot of Reds caught along these beaches ?

thanks

Red Drum aren't uncommon along those beaches.  You are (as of this date) allowed to keep three per angler between 18 inches and 26 inches.

Hire a local guide such as my self and you will learn plenty not to mention it will help boost the economy, and you will catch plenty of drum....red or black.
