Well needless to say the rudee streak for me is over the 15+ fish days just ended today for me. Matt, Kyle, and i launched around 11 or so. and headed down the flats to the inlet when i spotted a huge bunker school and told kyle to throw on them.  We loaded up on some peanut bunker about 1 1/2 inches long.  I immediately re rig for a bigger class of flounder and of course kyle and Matt have a Bunker fight.  I guess i took to long or something but Matt soon left and went home to play with his new plastic welder.

Kyle and i headed to the main channel and drifted. and drifted and drifted with no luck.  Headed to the north Jetty and the drift was totally wrong we were drifted out of the inlet instead of drifting back into.  It was also trough as hell and i guess the boaters and jetskis didn't care that they were no were near the wake portion of the jetty today because some reason it seemed like they were hauling once they hit croatan today so that also didn't help. 

Any way kyle only caught a single fish on the north so i headed to the south and anchored up well my anchor rope was in the biggest knot ever and my day wasnt getting any better.  Kyle decided to dive and saw tones of fish but speared none.  when he was in the water i got one little 10 1/2incher.  After i while i noticed kyles anchored kayak really want anchored and well he had to swim for it, while he was up to this i got another 10 1/2incher.


So after this we decided to try and anchor up in the basin and fish for some spot and croaker.  With no luck. but we did get to watch the seal boats come into the inlet.














Then we drifted through the boat channel for flounder with no luck then we decided to anchor just out of the channel and cast in with flounder rigs and bottom rigs  kyle  got a grunt and i got a nice little bsb. tagged and released





After that we called it a day.
